1. First install the Kodi application on your device. Then launch Kodi and click the Settings icon.

2. Then click System.

3. Click the toggle to enable Unknown sources. 

4. Click Yes.

5. Return to the System menu and select File manager.

6. Click Add source.

7. Click <None> to change the file source.

8. Enter the Repository URL and click OK. In this example we are installing The Crew (https://team-crew.github.io)

9. Then enter a name for the media source and click OK.

10. Click the back button on your remote to return to the System menu. Then select Add-ons.

11. Click Install from zip file.

12. Select the name of your media source that you provided in the previous step.

13. Click the zip file URL.

14. Wait a few seconds and wait for the “Add-on installed” message to appear.

15. Now click Install from repository.

16. Choose your preferred repository. We are using The Crew Repo in this instance.

17. Click Video add-ons.

18. Then locate and select what you want to install. We are installing The Crew in this instance.

19. Click Install.

20. You will likely see a message that reads ‘The following additional add-ons will be installed.” Click OK.

21. Wait for it to install.

22. After a minute or two you should see an “Add-on installed” message on the top right of your screen.

Integrating Debrid Services

In this example, we are adding TorBox within The Crew but this process is similar for almost any other platform as well.

1. Launch the Crew and choose Settings.

2. Select ResolveURL: Settings.

3. Within the Universal Resolvers 3 menu on the left, scroll down and select API Key under TorBox.

4. A blank screen will appear as we need to input our TorBox API Key.

5. Open an Internet browser on another device and go to the following page – torbox.app/settings and then click Copy API Key on bottom.

6. Return back to The Crew, enter your TorBox API Key, and then click OK.

7. After selecting a movie or TV show you should now be seeing ‘paid’ streaming links.

8. These TorBox streaming links will be presented in purple as shown below.

How to Update Addons in Kodi

Many of the options listed above frequently receive updates, which keep them running at optimum performance. While they are often updated automatically, you may occasionally need to update them manually.

Why Isn’t My Kodi Addon Working?

Even the best add-ons break from time to time. Start with these four causes before you uninstall anything.

Your ISP Is Blocking It

Members of our TROPOINT Insider have reported add-ons like FEN and The Crew crawling or failing outright, most often on Spectrum and T-Mobile Home Internet.

You can confirm it in about a minute. Run the same add-on on a phone hotspot, and if links resolve there but not on home internet, your provider is the problem. Connecting to a VPN clears it up, since your provider can no longer see which sources you’re reaching.

The Add-on is Out of Date
