In this instructional tutorial, we feature the Umbrella Kodi Addon with a complete review guide as well as the steps you need to follow to install it.

You can follow along on any device, and this includes popular streaming devices like Android TV/Google TV Boxes and the well-known Amazon Firestick.

Umbrella requires integration of an external scraper source as well as a Debrid Provider for the highest quality streaming links.

In this guide, we will add the CocoScrapers Module as well as TorBox so make sure you follow along closely to ensure you properly prepare this add-on for use.

In the screenshots below, we are using an Onn 4K Pro but this works with other variations of  Android/Google TV Boxes, Firestick/Fire TV, and any other outlet that supports the Kodi software.

In the video below, I’m using the Onn 4K Pro, but the same steps will apply to any streaming device that’s capable of running the Kodi app.

Step 1 – Install Umbrella Addon

• Launch the Kodi App and choose Settings (gear symbol)  

• Click System.

• If not already enabled, turn on Unknown sources.

• Warning! Make sure to read the message prompted by Kodi and click Yes.

• Return to the System screen and launch File Manager.

• Click “Add source”.

• Choose <None>.

• Type the Repo URL – https://umbrellaplug.github.io and click OK.

• Highlight the box under the source that you just typed in and enter a name for this media source.
• Type “umbrella” or any other name you prefer.

• Click the back button on your remote until you are on the System screen. Then click Add-ons.

• Click Install from zip file.

• Select “umbrella” or any other name you used in the steps above.

• Select the zip file – repository.umbrella.zip.

• The “Umbrella Repository Add-on installed” message appears.

• Next, click Install from repository.

• Choose Umbrella Repository.

• Scroll down and select Video add-ons.

• Choose Umbrella.

• Click Install.

• When prompted, click OK.

• You will then encounter Umbrella Add-on installation complete message.

• If you encounter the Umbrella Changelog, simply click the select button or back button to exit.

Installation is now complete! However, we are not done yet as Umbrella requires an external provider for use.

Follow the instructions below to install and enable CocoScrapers within Umbrella for Movies & TV Shows.

We also provide a step-by-step guide to integrate TorBox which is needed to stream content.

Step 2 – Install CocoScrapers Module Addon

The latest update to Umbrella requires the installation and integration of an external scraper.

We show you how to install the CocoScrapers module which works perfectly to provide streaming links within the Umbrella Addon.

However, users can also opt for any other provider source including EasyNews, Plex, and Google Drive.

1. After installing Umbrella, return to the Kodi settings page and select File Manager.

2. Click Add Source.

3. Click None.

4. Enter the following URL exactly as it is listed here – https://cocojoe2411.github.io/ and click OK.

5. Type coco or other name for the media source and click OK again.

6. Return to the Settings page and click Add-ons.

7. Click install from zip file.

8. Select coco or whatever you named the media source in previous step.

9. Click repository.cocoscrapers.zip.

10. Wait for the CocoScrapers Repository Add-on installed message to appear.

11. Click install from repository.

12. Choose CocoScrapers Repository.

13. Select Program Add-ons.

14. Click CocoScrapers Module.

15. Click Install.

16. You will then see CocoScrapers Module Add-on installed message.

Step 3 – Enable CocoScrapers in Umbrella

After installing CocoScrapers, we can now enable it for use within the Umbrella Addon.

1. Launch Umbrella.

2. Click back to close the Umbrella changelog.

3. From the home screen of Umbrella, select Tools.

4. Click Settings: Providers

5. Hover over Providers Accounts and click to Enable External Providers.

6. Click External Provider:

7. Choose CocoScrapers Module.

8. You will then encounter cocoscrapers External module set successfully message.

Step 4 – Add a Debrid Provider

As noted above, Umbrella does not work without a premium hosting service.

In this guide, we show instructions for enabling TorBox within Umbrella which is the most popular file hosting service.

1. Return to the home screen of Umbrella and select Tools.

2. Select SETTINGS: Accounts.

3. Hover over Accounts (Debrid) and under TorBox, click Authorization.

4. You are then provided with a TorBox authorization message. Make note of this code.

5. Visit tor.box/link and enter the code given in the previous step, then press the Continue button.

6. Return to Umbrella and you will see TorBox successfully authorized message.

7. Click OK.

Umbrella Kodi setup is now complete.

However, you may require an additional step to stream content within Umbrella.

If you are prompted with the following message to install Metahandler, click Yes.

Update Your Interface with Umbrestuary

As a bonus, the Umbrella Repository also features a custom Skin that works exclusively with the Umbrella addon. This skin is featured in the Simply Umbrestuary build for those who wish to use it with a Kodi build.

• Open the Umbrella Repo

• Choose Look and Feel.

• Click Skin.

• Select Umbrestuary.

• Click Install.

• Choose OK.

• Click Yes. (You can change this in Settings if you wish to revert back)

• Umbrestuary Add-on installed message will appear. Click Yes if you wish to keep the Skin.

• Umbrestuary Skin is now installed!

To do so, simply long-press on a menu item and click Edit Main Menu.

You can then choose which Menu item to disable, re-order, etc.

Within Settings are also various configurations including Sorting/Filtering with toggles for various priorities.

You can also choose your Services (Simkl, Trakt) and adjust Watch History, etc. within the “Online Services” tab.

The Icon Package in Umbrella can be configured as well. This will change the “theme” of the addon.
