I personally use IPVanish VPN when accessing free movies, TV shows, and live streams through Kodi.
Here are the reasons why I use a VPN.
- I don’t trust the developers of these add-ons and apps that provide this free content. A VPN encrypts my traffic so these developers can’t store my activity logs and then use them against me in the future.
- My Internet Service Provider (ISP) can no longer sell my logs/history or hand them over to third parties such as government, watchdog groups, etc.
- I can now Access Kodi add-ons, apps, and streams that my ISP has blocked.
- My ISP can’t throttle my download speed when using these free addons or applications because they don’t know what I’m accessing when I'm connecting through my VPN.
I recommend IPVanish VPN due to their blazing fast speeds and zero-log policy.

Protect Yourself With A VPN When Using This Technology
Most cord-cutters use a VPN to hide their Internet activity while streaming movies, TV shows, and live channels. If you aren’t using a VPN when accessing free or low-cost media, your Internet Service Provider, government, hackers, and app developers can log everything that you do online.
The most popular VPN among cord-cutters is IPVanish due to their blazing fast speeds and zero log policy.
Its important to use a VPN that is fast since we are streaming large HD files. Its also crucial to find one that keeps no logs of what their subscribers access while online.
Setting up IPVanish VPN on your streaming device is simple!

Step 1 Register for an IPVanish VPN account by clicking the link below.
This exclusive link provides you with a hefty discount, only available to TROYPOINT visitors like you.

Step 2 – Hover over the search icon on your Firestick, Fire TV, or Fire TV Cube and type in “Ipvanish”
You may also find the IPVanish App in the Google Play Store for those of you who are using Android TV Boxes, phones, and tablets.

Step 3 – Click the IPVanish VPN option that appears.

Step 4 – Click the IPVanish icon under Apps & Games.

Step 5 – Click Download.

Step 6 – Click Open.

Step 7 – Enter your username and password to login. Your username is the email that you used to register for IPVanish service with and your password is automatically generated and emailed to you.

Step 8 – Click Connect button.

Step 9 – Click OK for Connection request if it appears.

Step 10 – You will notice that your IP Address changes along with location of connection. You are now operating anonymously through your device.
Click the Home Button on your remote and the VPN will remain running in the background.

Congratulations! You are now protected by a VPN which means everything that you stream or access through your Firestick or Android TV Box is hidden from the rest of the world.
If you ever need to stop the VPN service, simply re-launch the application and click the DISCONNECT button.

Covenant now has https://cy4root2.github.io/zip in addition to the repository
also got his own repository.
This can be found at: https://covenant01.github.io/zip
Sincerely.

Thanks for the update!
I can’t seem to get Kodi to play any TV shows. Every time I think it’s going to work, it shuts down and goes back to the home screen. I’ve friend updates and it hasn’t worked either. Suggestions ?
Hi Bobby,
Have you tried using APKs instead of Kodi for TV Shows? I would give a few of these a try – https://troypoint.com/best-apks/
So is Covenant back and being maintained? Also are forks of an add-on worth installing together or have one of a fork instead? If you install an Exodus fork what is the reason to install another fork of the same add-on? Aren’t they all the same essentially?
Hi Freddie,
Yes Covenant is back now with an updated repository URL that is working fine. And regarding your forks question – You are correct, they are essentially all the same with minor differences. We recommend having 2-3 “back up add-ons” if your preferred add-on isn’t working.
I have tried twice to put Covenant on Kodi, and it starts to install all of its additional files, then it says did not install on the message. My ipvanish is connected, and I followed troypoint.com instructions to the T. It is not installing. Kodi apps have not worked for me for a few weeks now. I even took my firestick down to original settings, and reinstalled Kodi several times
Interesting.. Are you using a Firestick 4K?
And if you are having issues with Kodi I would highly recommend checking out one of these other APKs – https://troypoint.com/best-apks/
yes, I have a 4K. I am using Cinema but I prefer the Kodi apps. I can only get my local news station on Live Stream app on Kodi, I kinda miss it
Gotcha, I’m not sure if you noticed but there was an updated repository URL for Covenant a few days ago. I would recommend giving that a try again.
Covenant isn’t there.
My bad, I restarted Kodi and got it!
I just got your email about Covenant yesterday and within 30 minutes installed it per instructions, it’s just simply is not working. No streams available. I also try to clear cache and providers and although cash clears, there are no providers available to clear? How is this possible since you just posted this?
Hi Rene,
We just tested Covenant this morning and everything is working fine on our end. I would try again with the updated Repo URL that we point out in the post.
I did exactly that with the new URL and it only installs certain parts, then when I close Kodi and restart it the only thing that shows is open scrapers module
Not able to install Covenant from instructions posted. After the installation of the repo, the option to install Covenant is not there. However, after installing the repo, the “update available” is prompted. When selecting to run the update, it fails to update. This has been a problem for the past few days. Anyone actually have a good repo for Covenant that works?
Hi Bill,
We just tested Covenant this morning, and everything is working fine on our end.
I notice that Deciet in kodi not functioning for some weeks now,is anyone else notice it’s not working?
Deceit is part of the OneNation Repository, they have closed down permanently due to copyright pressure. There is no telling if Deceit will return so it’s best to remove it and try something else.
If I already have a build downloaded. How do I get to the original Kodi screen to install another build? Also, without messing up or getting rid of the current build. I would like to have multiple builds, just in case.
Hi Cole,
We always recommend having one build per streaming device. There’s always issues when you try to install multiple builds at once.
Here is how you reset Kodi – https://troypoint.com/how-to-reset-kodi-on-fire-tv/
Oh, okay. thank you for letting me know that. Thank you for the link. I’m on Xanax right now but I will try a new one.
This “old dead” addon used to be one of the best and since it’s back it’s one of the best again
Why do you bump an old dead addon to the most recent recommendations?
Hi Keith,
Where do you see this add-on recommended anywhere? As stated above, Covenant is not currently receiving any updates and we suggest the Best Kodi add-ons page for an updated list.
https://troypoint.com/best-kodi-addons/
Covenant is what a lot of people search for when getting into the Kodi hobby therefore this post explains to them that there are better add-ons at this time.
