The founder of illegal streaming service Jetflicks has been sentenced to 84 months in federal prison.

Kristopher Lee Dallmann, 42, is a Las Vegas resident who ran what prosecutors called the largest IPTV piracy trial in history of infringed works ever to go to trial in the United States.
After a 14-day trial that concluded in June 2024, a federal jury found Dallmann guilty on multiple charges including conspiracy to commit copyright infringement, criminal copyright infringement by distribution and public performance, plus money laundering.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Dallmann had been running the Jetflicks operation since June 2007.

Five Co-Defendants Receive Varied Sentences
The sentencing hearing on May 29-30, 2025, addressed all five remaining defendants. Peter H. Huber, 67, received 18 months in prison.
Jared Edward Jaurequi (also known as Jared Edwards), 44, was sentenced to time served of nearly five months, plus 180 days home confinement and 500 hours of community service.
Felipe Garcia, 43, received three years probation with 49 days in prison and 1,000 hours of community service.
Douglas M. Courson, 65, got three years probation with 48 days in prison. Each defendant performed multiple roles including management, programming, content acquisition, and customer support.

Record-Breaking Criminal Enterprise
Jetflicks operated as a subscription-based service headquartered in Las Vegas. At its peak, the platform claimed to offer 183,285 different television episodes – more than Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, or any licensed streaming service available at the time.

The defendants used automated software and computer scripts that constantly scoured streaming websites worldwide.
This technology would download, process, and store illegal content, then make it available on US and Canadian servers to tens of thousands of paid subscribers. Episodes often appeared on Jetflicks the day after airing on television.
Massive Financial Impact
Acting Assistant Attorney General Matthew R. Galeotti stated the scheme “generated millions of dollars in criminal profits” while harming thousands of US companies and individuals who owned copyrights but “never received a penny in compensation from Jetflicks.”
The government conservatively estimated the copyright infringement value at $37.5 million. This included the retail value of reproduced works plus streams provided to subscribers. Dallmann personally reaped millions in profit from the operation.
Additional Prosecutions Continue
The case originally involved eight defendants. Darryl Polo previously pleaded guilty and received 57 months in prison for running both Jetflicks and another illegal service called iStreamItAll. Luis Villarino received 12 months and one day for conspiracy charges.
Yoany Vaillant faced a separate trial in November 2024 and was convicted of conspiracy to commit criminal copyright infringement. His sentencing is scheduled for September 4, 2025.
Final Thoughts
While this may appear as a victory for anti-piracy authorities, history shows that shutting down one major illegal streaming service only creates opportunities for others.
When Jetflicks disappeared in 2017, countless smaller operations have already filled the void. The reality is that taking down one service often leads to 100 new illegal streaming enterprises popping up to meet demand.
Until streaming costs become more affordable or a unified platform emerges, these prosecutions may only scratch the surface of a much larger problem.
