Pirate Bay Domains Delisted by Google

According to a report from TorrentFreak, a recent wave of removal requests in the United Kingdom from third-party Internet providers has led to the removal of hundreds of Pirate Bay domains from Google search results.

The Pirate Bay blocking order was obtained by the music groups British Phonographic Industry (BPI) and Phonographic Performance Limited (PPL).

Some of the delisted Pirate Bay domains include the following:

  • unlockedpiratebay.com
  • ukpirate.co
  • tpbproxybay.com
  • thepiratesproxy.org
  • thepiratesbay.club
  • thepiratebays.xyz
  • thepiratebays.solutions
  • thepiratebays.shop
  • thepiratebay3.co
  • thepiratebay.uproxy.best
  • thepiratebay.unblockfav.com
  • thepiratebay.lol

A representative from BPI stated the following on Google’s delisting of Pirate Bay domains:

“It’s been a long time coming, and clearly not everyone uses Google to find infringing sites, but we are pleased that the biggest search engine in the world is now taking these steps, because the less visibility an illegal site has, the less it will be accessed.”

What’s most interesting about these delistings is Google’s decision to voluntarily take action and remove domains without verifying anything.

Google has removed thousands of “pirate” domains over the years without any lawsuits or apparent reason besides third-party Internet providers submitting removal requests.

If you have ever searched for an “infringing” term within Google you may have noticed this message on the bottom of search results.

How to Get Around Google Delistings

If you are located in the UK or a region that has imposed delistings for a particular term, there is a way to get around this.

Connecting to a VPN server in the United States for example will populate different search results and often show domains that are delisted in other parts of the world with stricter censorship laws.

How to Get Around Google Delistings

Overall, It only seems this constant game of “whack a mole” with torrent websites and delistings will continue.

Many are also wondering what torrent websites are next to be delisted from Google and other search engines.

This isn’t the first time Google and other search engines have delisted torrent websites and other domains from search results.

  1. Obviously, I got carried away. My short answer/questions is: Wouldn’t it be cute if TPB just had one site that published an encrypted list of multiple alternatives of its approved URL’s? You’d just need one or two of these site listings and work it pretty much like the “secrete” link codes.

  2. This will go where the big money takes it. Just like the deal with Krysten Sinema she’s bought and paid for – to wit a whore in the political whorehouse. One woman has knocked the closing of the tax loophole out of the bill, saving hedge fund top managers billions – at the cost of the working folks and the poor. But, she’s nothing compared to Mitch, the Master Whore. I’m not a great fan of Bernie Sanders but I agree with his recent comment that we may not be able to maintain a democracy if we continue this kind of unfairness and/or lack of concern for the vast majority of our people. I do believe that artists, writers, etc., should receive compensation for their work. But when the movie and music media guys make billions and don’t pay any taxes, not to mention flaunt the wealth, well… Many athletes and other performers make far, far more than doctors, engineers, scientists and others who make very real contributions to our betterment. I’m tired seeing pictures of football players living in Miami in a 20 million dollar house next to the local drug lord – and that’s just his winter house! So, screw the entertainment industry. The average person could pirate 18 hours per day on a fast connection and never come close to anywhere near what the rich bastards and their payed-for minions in congress (and Arizona and West Virginia) get in just a few hours. It’s resentment and defiance that keeps these sites springing back up. It’s mush the same that divides the country. Except for the extreme, sick right religious zealots, we now have more normal, intelligent people getting angry. As I see it, the power money will back off on suppression of a number of things, including internet control when it is to their advantage. The resentment is out there Trump didn’t create it, he just used it – Hitler and Stalin were better at it. But, Sanders was right I think and the vast majority of people in this country, regardless of their politics or religion, of race will ultimately be very sorry if it goes that way. Hopefully, the the money power group are smart enough to stop it prior to critical mass when it is too late.

So, my friend, enjoy the internet while you can. You won’t like state controlled internet – and for god’s sake don’t get pregnant in Texas, Louisiana, and the other states that are zealot-controlled by religious fanatics and other nasty folks of that ilk.

  3. Typical of the UK again for trying to ban pirate bay, mine went down, I use Surfshark VPN to get around this and switched my server to London and this works perfect

  4. The internet is supposed to be free to use to all sites that’s out there. If they choose who can see what then it’s called censorship and I for one am again any censorship , you should have the right to view what you choose too

  5. I do what I can to avoid Google altogether. They are run by people who act like communists. Because it’s not just torrents, it’s their version , or what they think is mis/dis -information. I refuse to willingly use their services!

  6. it reminds me of the early days of music swapping services before the music industry started charging reasonable prices for streaming music. you don’t hear about those issues any longer. the same needs to happen to the video industry.
