Paramount and the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) have reached a new agreement that will end the Pay-Per-View model and transition all events to Paramount+.

The UFC is the most popular combat sports company in the world, attracting millions of fans who actively pay for streaming rights to watch fights via Pay-Per-View.
However, that is all about to change as the new deal with Paramount will end the PPV model for all events beginning in 2026. This includes 13 “marquee numbered events” as well as 30 UFC Fight Nights, which will all be available on Paramount+.
Since 2019, fight fans who wanted to watch PPV events needed to do so via the ESPN+ app, which required a subscription ($11.99/month) as well as purchase each event for $79.99.
This led millions to find alternative routes to watch fights, including via unverified streaming apps, IPTV Services, and free sports websites.
The UFC hopes that this new deal (7 years worth $7.7 billion) will change this and lead people to only use official means for streaming via Paramount+.

Currently, Paramount+ offers two different subscription models – Paramount+ Premium and Paramount+ Essential.
Paramount+ Premium is available for $12.99/month or $119.99/year and is entirely ad-free. Paramount+ Essential is ad-based and priced at $7.99/month or $59.99/year.

Ultimately, UFC fans can expect to save hundreds of dollars a year with this new deal as viewers will no longer have to pay for every PPV and can instead get all events for just over $100/year.
David Ellison, CEO of Paramount, noted the following on their new agreement with the UFC:
I couldn’t be more excited to join forces with Dana, Ari, and Mark. Rarely do opportunities arise to partner on an exclusive basis with a global sports powerhouse like UFC – an organization with extraordinary global recognition, scale, and cultural impact.
Paramount’s advantage lies in the expansive reach of our linear and streaming platforms. Live sports continue to be a cornerstone of our broader strategy — driving engagement, subscriber growth, and long-term loyalty, and the addition of UFC’s year-round must-watch events to our platforms is a major win. We look forward to delivering this premium content to millions of fans in the U.S., and potentially beyond.
Sports fans and UFC enthusiasts are excited to see the company transition away from the PPV model, which many saw as unaffordable and excessive.
