Step 1 is to install Downloader, a free browser app that supports downloads. This is how we install alternative applications that aren’t found in the Amazon App Store.

Step 1: Install the Free Downloader App
You can find this app by simply searching for it within the Amazon App Store. The process takes less than a minute.
1. From the home screen of your Fire TV device, hover over the Search button on top.
2. Type “Downloader” and click the first option that appears in the list.
3. Select the orange Downloader icon under Apps & Subscriptions. Double-check that this is the official application from AFTVnews.

2. If you do not see “Developer Options” listed here, click About.
3. Click your device name 7 times quickly until you see a notification that says “No need, you are already a developer.”
4. Click the back button on your remote to return to the previous screen and select the newly revealed Developer Options.
5. Select Install Unknown Apps.
6. Find the Downloader app in the list and click it.
7. Unknown sources for this app are now turned ON, as pictured below.
Note for Older Devices: If you are on an older Firestick, you will simply see a single toggle for “Apps from Unknown Sources” that you need to click and turn ON.
