CloudStream Shut Down by Sky UK – What Happened?
The once-popular CloudStream APK has been shut down by Sky UK.
CloudStream APK was a popular streaming app used by millions of cord-cutters with free movies, TV shows, and other VOD content.
This was an open-source application that allowed users to view movies and TV shows by aggregating content from several streaming websites.

According to a source from TorrentFreak, the once-popular CloudStream APK has been shut down by Sky UK after a DMCA takedown notice was sent to Github who hosted the application.
The DMCA takedown notice was originally sent by Kopjra, as they are a company that specializes in online investigations and represents media giants like Sky UK.
While CloudStream APK provided thousands of movies and TV shows, there was one TV episode in particular that Sky UK pursued for copyright infringement.
Part of the DMCA takedown notice states the following:
“We are writing in the name and on behalf of Sky UK Limited, the exclusive owner of distribution and exploitation rights of the Sky UK channels. This IPTV App includes illegal and unauthorized Pay Tv Sky UK tv series: Riviera.”
The complaint also provided a tutorial that shows how to install CloudStream APK to watch an episode of Riviera using a streaming source.

The report also listed dozens of streaming sites that CloudStream APK used to aggregate its content.
