How to Install STRMR App on Firestick & Android TV

This comprehensive guide features the STRMR Application with a detailed installation tutorial, as well as a thorough review of this new streaming platform.

STRMR is a powerful new streaming APK that integrates directly with various premium debrid services to provide high-definition Movies and Television Series for your viewing pleasure.

It also features full Stremio Addon support, meaning you can easily integrate your preferred 3rd-party community addons, which the app uses to scrape the web for the best available streaming links.

STRMR features a simple, highly polished user interface that makes browsing extremely easy on all compatible media devices.

The app has undergone major development updates, which now include full compatibility on Amazon Firestick and Fire TV devices (which was previously unavailable).

In this tutorial, we are using the Onn 4K Plus from Walmart, but our screenshot guide can be followed identically using any Android TV, Google TV, or Fire OS streaming device you prefer.

IMPORTANT NOTE: STRMR requires users to sign in with a Google account to authorize the application. To protect your privacy, we strongly recommend creating a secondary, anonymous “burner” Google account without your personal information.

How to Install STRMR App (Step-by-Step Guide)

We have broken our guide down into 4 separate steps, which include: installation, Google account authorization, debrid service integration, and Stremio addon installation.

Step 1: Install STRMR via TROYPOINT Toolbox

1. Install the Downloader app (if you haven’t already) and enable Unknown Sources in your device settings to allow sideloading. Launch the application.

2. Click the URL search bar, input the Downloader Code for the TROYPOINT Toolbox (250931), and click Go.

3. Wait 5 seconds for the automatic redirect page to load.

4. Scroll down to find the STRMR app and click Download.

5. Wait for the APK file to finish downloading.

6. Click Install.

7. Select Done.

8. Choose Delete (this removes the installation file and frees up valuable storage space on your device).

9. Click Delete again to confirm.

Step 2: Activate Your Device & Connect Google Account

As referenced earlier, users must sign in to STRMR with a functioning Google account. If you do not wish to use your personal account, make a secondary, anonymous account to use with this guide.

1. Open the STRMR App on your TV. You will be presented with a temporary Authorization Code.

2. On your PC, smartphone, or tablet, open a web browser and visit strmr.net/link (the official STRMR website). Input the code from your TV screen and click Verify Code.

3. Click Continue with Google.

4. Choose your secondary Google Account. You will then see a “Device Linked!” success message. Click Go to Dashboard to continue with the setup process.

Step 3: Add Your Debrid & Trakt Accounts

NOTE: While Steps 3 and 4 can technically be completed within the TV application, we strongly recommend configuring your STRMR accounts within the Web Dashboard on your computer or phone, as shown below.

1. You are now in the Main Dashboard of your STRMR Account. On the left-hand menu, select Accounts.

2. Click Connect next to Trakt if you wish to authorize your Trakt TV account to sync your watchlist and viewing history.

3. Scroll down to the Cloud Library Service section and click Connect next to your preferred Debrid Provider. Currently, the following premium platforms are supported:

• Real-Debrid
• Premiumize
• AllDebrid
• TorBox
• Paradise Cloud
• And more…

4. Choose your preferred authorization method (OAuth or API Key).

5. Authenticate your account. A success message will appear once linked.

Step 4: Integrate Stremio Addons

In order for streaming links to actually populate when you select a movie or show, we must add a “Scraper” by integrating a Stremio Addon.

STRMR provides two methods to install 3rd party addons: You can either import a specific addon with a Manifest URL, or use a pre-configured “Bundle,” which is a package of popular addons that install with one click.

Method A: Install an Addon Bundle (Recommended)

1. Visit strmr-addons.netlify.app in your web browser.

2. Choose between the available bundle options and click Copy Bundle Link.

3. Return to your STRMR Dashboard and open the Addons tab. Paste the addon Bundle URL into the Quick Add bar and click Import.

4. You will see a notification stating the addons were successfully installed.

Method B: Install Individual 3rd Party Addons

If you prefer to install specific individual scrapers, use the following instructions.

1. From the Dashboard menu, select Addons.

2. Click Install Addon.

3. Input the direct manifest URL for your preferred Stremio addon (for example, Comet or Torrentio), and click Install.

4. The “Addon installed successfully” message will appear.

Step 5: Add Collections (Optional)

To take your setup a step further, you can install “Collections”—custom curated rows of Trakt/MDBList categories with high-quality thumbnail images. This drastically improves your visual browsing experience on the TV.

1. Within the web Dashboard, select Collections and click New Collection.

2. Input a Collection Name.

3. Click Add Item.

4. Visit https://duckkota.gitlab.io/guides/collections/ to find your preferred Collection Image and Link URLs. Paste these into their respective fields and click Add.

5. Click Create Collection.

6. Your created Collection is now listed in your dashboard.

7. Now, open Layout & Rows on the side menu and click Collections.

8. Click Add next to your custom Collection.

9. Return to your TV. You will now see your custom Collection row injected directly into the Home Dashboard of the STRMR App.

You can add as many Collections as you’d like. Enjoy!

STRMR Features & Settings Details

There are a few advanced settings you can adjust to personalize the app to your exact preferences.

By default, STRMR is set to “auto-play,” which means it automatically selects a streaming link for you when you click a title. If you want to disable this (which we highly suggest so you can pick your own file sizes), navigate to the Link Resolving tab in the menu bar and toggle off “Autoselect Link”.

Another excellent feature is the Link Filtering option, where you can enable or disable various video resolutions (4K, 1080p, 720p) and set maximum bitrate limits to prevent buffering on slower networks.

The Dashboard also provides vast UI customization, such as changing the accent color, expanding poster artwork on focus, and adjusting overall appearance.

Under Layout & Rows, you can enable/disable preferred Catalogs and drag-and-drop them to reorder your home screen perfectly.

Within the Addons tab, you have the ability to drag and drop the execution order of your installed scrapers, prioritizing faster addons at the top of your link list.

If you enjoy binge-watching, you can enable Autoplay Next Episode under the Playback Settings menu.

It is important to note that there is another open-source variation of the STRMR App, which is a self-hosted iteration of this application featuring native Mobile and TV Apps. It appears these are maintained by two different developers and are independent projects.

Is the STRMR App Legal?

It is impossible for TROYPOINT to determine whether third-party applications like STRMR hold the proper licensing for the media they aggregate. STRMR itself does not host content, but the third-party Stremio addons you install may scrape links from public torrent swarms or unauthorized hosting sites.

Streaming or downloading copyrighted material without permission is illegal. TROYPOINT strictly recommends streaming media that falls within the public domain or is distributed via verified, licensed platforms. Is STRMR Safe to Use?

While the STRMR APK file itself is safe and free of malware, the Stremio addons you integrate scrape unverified public indexers. This exposes your streaming habits to your Internet Service Provider (ISP) and copyright monitors.

ISPs actively use Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) to log your traffic and throttle your internet speeds if they detect high-bandwidth streaming or P2P data. • Currently, custom setups don’t sync flawlessly across multiple devices
• As of 1/10/2026, the Voice Search microphone is not functioning on TV remotes
• Minor UI bugs during catalog loading

Final Verdict

Overall, we are highly impressed with STRMR and the seamless functionality it provides, serving up buffer-free 4K Films and TV Shows with ease.

While fairly new to the cord-cutting landscape, it functions similarly to Stremio but with an arguably cleaner aesthetic. We love the Stremio addon integration, as it adds an extra layer of scraping flexibility allowing users to pull from multiple databases.

Unfortunately, the requirement of a Google Sign-In is a negative. Forcing a login strips anonymity and gives the developers access to personal metadata. If they eventually use this login solely to sync STRMR configurations across multiple devices, the trade-off makes sense. Until then, our simple workaround is to create a burner Google account used exclusively for this app.

The development team is constantly pushing out updates, and we will monitor the project as it continues to mature!
