In this guide, we are installing the Cinema HQ app on an Onn 4K Pro, but these instructions also work flawlessly on the Firestick, Fire TV Cube, and other Android TV/Google TV devices.
Note: This app does NOT work on the Fire TV Stick Select model. This device does not run on Android OS and instead uses “Vega OS,” which is Amazon’s in-house platform.
1. You must first install the Downloader app on your device. If you haven’t done this, refer to our Downloader Tutorial. Launch Downloader.
2. Click the search bar or URL menu icon at the top of the screen.

3. Type the following Downloader Code: 9013501 and click Next.

4. If you see a security warning message, select Details in the lower right-hand corner.
5. You may then have to click “visit this unsafe site” as pictured below to proceed with the download.
6. Wait for the APK file to download.
7. Click Install.
8. If you receive a Google Play Protect message, click more details and select Install anyway.

10. Return to the Downloader interface and click Delete to remove the installation file and save space.
11. Select Delete again to confirm.
12. Now launch the Cinema HQ application from your device’s app menu.

While Cinema HQ does have free public links, for the best buffer-free results, we strongly suggest integrating a premium debrid service like TorBox. You can easily do so within the application’s settings. Follow the steps below.
1. Click Services from the left-hand menu.
2. Locate TorBox (or your preferred debrid service) and click the TorBox API Key box.
3. To locate your TorBox API Key, visit your TorBox account dashboard on a phone or computer (torbox.app/dashboard).
4. Enter your API Key exactly as shown and click Sign In.
5. That’s it! You can now access high-speed, premium TorBox links when streaming content within Cinema HQ.

Cinema HQ offers a clean, Material Design interface with several massive content options. Categories include Movies, TV Shows, Live TV, Anime, Games, Watchlist, Services, and Settings.
The Movies tab offers thousands of VOD titles and can be filtered by Genre, Year, and TMDb popularity rating.
There is also a huge content library of TV shows to choose from, with full season tracking.
There is a massive collection of Anime content sorted across different subgenres, OVAs, and specials.
The app even features retro game libraries for SNES and Sega Genesis, utilizing a fully integrated emulator for playback.
Within the Settings tab, you can change your default video player, customize your link sources, configure your offline downloads folder, manage Trakt integration, and more.

Cinema HQ packs a tremendous amount of utility into a single APK, but it comes with some notable trade-offs regarding privacy and performance that you must weigh before installing.

- Privacy Risk: The app utilizes the Honeygain SDK, which silently shares your unused internet bandwidth with third-party networks in the background
- Not available on Google Play, the Amazon App Store, or Apple iOS devices
- Free streaming links can suffer from heavy buffering
- Real-Debrid support was dropped in a recent update
- Some live TV sources go offline and require manual developer intervention to fix
- PIN dialog boxes and text field focus issues persist on certain Android TV devices
- D-pad remote navigation bugs are occasionally reported on Firestick models

Is This App Safe to Install?
It is extremely important to check these “unofficial” APKs for malware and viruses before side-loading them onto your device. The best way to do this is with VirusTotal. Below is a screenshot of the scan results from the official APK file pulled directly from GitHub.
VirusTotal flagged two malicious files inside the Cinema HQ APK. However, we take security testing a step further by actively monitoring the idle network traffic of these applications using Wireshark packet captures. When analyzing Cinema HQ on our Android TV test devices, we identified background connections actively routing through the Honeygain SDK.
This is a residential proxy network that passively shares your device’s unused internet bandwidth with third parties in exchange for keeping the app ad-free. Because unverified apps like this are secretly utilizing your network resources, you should never run them without severe protection.
The absolute best way to encrypt your network traffic, mask your IP address, and prevent your ISP from seeing this activity is with a premium VPN. Proceed with extreme caution and ensure your VPN kill switch is active if you decide to use this application.

Cinema HQ has quickly grown into one of the most feature-packed free streaming apps available in 2026. Finding an APK that natively combines VOD movies, live TV, anime, and retro games into a single Material Design interface is incredibly rare.
