The following tutorial will show you How To Delete Apps on Firestick or Fire TV. This is a frequently asked question among TROYPOINT subscribers and visitors. Luckily, this is an easy process that will take less than a minute.
By deleting or uninstalling Firestick Apps, you can free up more space on your device for easier use. This will let you add applications or download content which previously might not have been possible.
When deleting apps, you will find that not all of them are able to be removed. Amazon pre-installs certain applications that users cannot get rid of. Many of these are tools or other devices that allow your Firestick or Fire TV to operate smoothly.
In the guide below, I am using the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4k, which is the most popular streaming device available today. However, these steps will also work on any version of the device you have.
Follow the steps below which will show you How To Delete Apps on Firestick or Fire TV.
How To Delete Apps on Firestick/Fire TV
1. From the home screen of your device, scroll to the right to hover over Settings and then Click Applications
2. Click Manage Installed Applications
3. Scroll down and click on the application you want to delete (In this instance I am deleting One Player which was side-loaded to my device)
4. Click Uninstall
5. Click Uninstall again
That’s it! Your app has been removed freeing up precious space on your Amazon Device.
Often times by removing unused or unwanted apps, you will notice a boost in the performance of your Firestick.
Should you reinstall apps again, take note that unverified apps are not allowed by the Amazon App Store for installation into your device. However, you can side-load without using the official app-distribution method by installing a VPN for Firestick, Fire TV, Fire TV Cube.
How To Delete Apps on Firestick Extras
While the guide above is the easiest way to uninstall Firestick/Fire TV apps, it is not the only way.
Many Firestick users install a 3rd party application called ES File Explorer that works as an all-around tool for your device. With ES File Explorer, you can easily install, uninstall, and manage applications.
Important Note: ES File Explorer now charges for their app. Learn how to get the modded free premium app through our ES File Explorer Firestick tutorial.
This application is the most popular file manager for android devices available. Since Amazon Fire TV Devices use the Android Operating system, it also works perfectly on the Firestick/Fire TV.

Protect Yourself With A VPN When Using This Technology
Most cord-cutters use a VPN to hide their Internet activity while streaming movies, TV shows, and live channels.
If you aren’t using a VPN when accessing free or low-cost media, your Internet Service Provider, government, hackers, and app developers can log everything that you do online through your visible IP Address.
Your current IP Address is 22.214.171.124
The most popular VPN among cord-cutters is IPVanish due to their blazing fast speeds and zero log policy.
Its important to use a VPN that is fast since we are streaming large HD files. Its also crucial to find one that keeps no logs of what their subscribers access while online.
