Windows 11 will feature the ability to install Android Apps via sideloading, the company has announced.
In last week’s Microsoft Windows Event, details emerged regarding the latest update to Windows with various new features.

This includes the ability to install and use Android Apps on your PC via the Windows Subsystem for Android.
Windows reached an agreement with Amazon to bring the Amazon App Store to Windows 11 for easy installation of Android Apps.
The Amazon App Store is featured on all Firestick and Fire TV Devices and is used by millions.

With this new advancement, Windows users will have access to tons of various apps that were previously unavailable.

Palanidaran Chidambaram, Director of the Amazon Appstore and Cross-Screen Technology, stated the following:
Today we offer a broad selection of mobile apps in our Amazon Appstore, available across Fire TV, Fire Tablets, and Android devices that our customers use and enjoy every day… With this announcement, Amazon Appstore developers will now have the opportunity to make their Android apps available to hundreds of millions of Windows customers.
While this is fabulous news for Windows users, it is important to note that the Amazon App Store is missing various apps that are extremely popular.
Luckily, the latest version of Windows will also feature the ability to sideload apps and APK’s for use on compatible devices.
This same process is used by millions to Jailbreak a Firestick or Fire TV.
By doing so, users can install hundreds of applications that are not available within the Amazon App Store.
While the exact timeframe for this upgrade is unclear, Microsoft did say we can expect it to occur sometime later this year.
Currently, Windows users can install the popular Bluestacks application to run Android Apps.
