A Reddit user recently took to the popular forum website to report their internet being suspended after downloading torrents.
The user, named u/Akuma_No_Shisho, explained he was notified by Xfinity that his internet would be suspended for copyright infringement.
u/Akuma_No_Shisho stated that he had been downloading torrents from various Torrent Websites which was the reason for the notice.
These included RARBG, 1337x, and LimeTorrents, among others.
In the letter, it states the user was a repeat infringer and that he had been contacted multiple times.
The latest notice resulted in an 8-hour suspension of internet service on his account.

The Xfinity letter goes on to explain that the customer was required to call Xfinity Customer Support for further action.
All internet-based connections for this user were to be terminated for 8 hours including Xfinity home service.
The notice also threatened to suspend connection for 12 hours if any infringement occurred again.
