Netflix is increasing prices again on all plans in the United States, Canada, and various other countries for 2025.
This comes after the organization had its largest ever jump in subscribers, adding 19 million in the last quarter of 2024.

Netflix is without question the most popular streaming app in the world used by millions of cord-cutters.
The latest news of price hikes is available on the official Netflix website where you will find the noted price increases for all of their subscription plans.

As seen in the table above, the new prices for Netflix plans in the United States include the following:
- Standard with Ads: $7.99/month – Previously $6.99/month
- Standard: $17.99/month – Previously $15.49/month
- Premium: $24.99/month – Previously $22.99/month
In a note to shareholders, Netflix described the reason for this price hike as adding more value to the service:
As we continue to invest in programming and deliver more value for our members, we will occasionally ask our members to pay a little more so that we can re-invest to further improve Netflix. To that end, we are adjusting prices today across most plans in the U.S., Canada, Portugal and Argentina (which was already factored into the 2025 guidance we provided in October 2024).
Subscribers are getting used to price hikes from Netflix. While we didn’t see an increase in 2024, the company did initiate a crackdown on password sharing, forcing millions to sign up for an account.
This isn’t the first time Netflix has increased its subscription prices and it is unlikely it will be the last.
