The Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment (ACE) is back in the news again with a fresh round of DMCA subpoenas targeting more pirate domains.
Many of these names are some of the most popular streaming sites with millions of monthly visitors.

This is one of many legal requests filed by ACE in the United States towards the CDN provider Cloudflare.
The following statement can be found in the official DMCA subpoena documentation.
“As is stated in the attached subpoena, you are required to disclose to the Motion Picture Association, Inc. (on behalf of the ACE Members) information sufficient to identify the infringers. This would include the individuals’ names, physical addresses, IP addresses, telephone numbers, e-mail addresses, payment information, account updates, and account history.”

ACE DMCA Subpoenas – Official Document
According to the official press release from ACE, they stated the following on this shutdown:
“This month’s [DMCA subpoena] round addresses 29 domains, including the hugely popular ssphim.net which received over 40M total visits from February 2021 through February of this year, and watchmovierulz.co which received over 25M visits in the same time period. The two domains’ top countries for visitors were Vietnam and India respectively.
It only seems this constant game of “whack a mole” with streaming website shutdowns will continue.
After doing some further research, we found several other “mirrors” of these pirate domains targeted by ACE.
This isn’t the first time copyright authorities like ACE have released lists of piracy websites and services on their radar.

It’s uncertain what’s happening behind the scenes with this latest targeting with ACE’s DMCA subpoenas.

I’m thinking that this is happening more often and to more sites because of the large increase in cord cutting and how easy its become to access with these devices. So ACE is thinking we need to step things up

It’s obvious that budgeting favours this committee in preference to funding against major criminal activity such as identifying Bitcoin scammers/thefts who are stealing billions of dollars worth of peoples hard earned money, and the incidence of these crimes are rising. This committee targets the ordinary person (battler) and disadvantaged such as the deaf as their actions have had a major impact on restricting subtitles to the deaf.
