Another IPTV arrest is in the news… This time it was three men located in Northern England who were in the crosshairs of UK authorities.
As reported by TorrentFreak, The North West Regional Organised Crime Unit (NWROCU) collaborated with Lancashire Police in a joint operation on March 23, 2022, by executing three search warrants on pirate IPTV suspects.

The authorities raided three addresses in Oldham, Kirkham, and Blackpool and seized equipment pertaining to the “provision” of a pirate IPTV service offering copyrighted content.
Three individuals were then arrested on the suspicion of criminal copyright infringement and were later released under investigation.

What is the IPTV Service?
Unfortunately, the police did not provide any additional information about the name of the IPTV service, the roles of the individuals, or whether they were directly involved in operating an IPTV service themselves.
While it’s not mentioned which broadcasters are involved behind the scenes in this investigation, one would assume the English Premier League, BT Sport, or Sky has this case on their radar.
If the individuals are eventually prosecuted these broadcasters will likely claim to be the victims of fraud, as these cases carry longer prison sentences.

Something interesting to note – The report on TorrentFreak also mentions that The North West Regional Organised Crime Unit is one of the groups responsible for shutting down the once-popular “Supremacy” Kodi repository.

Overall, it appears copyright authorities from around the world are continuing to crack down harder on pirate IPTV operations.
This isn’t the first or last time we have seen IPTV operators in the crosshairs of authorities:

We the customer is not asking for much, the money they off of us is ridiculous for the service they provide. It’s not about a profit, it’s about making more profit.
Total B’s if you pay for internet what ever you get you paid for big corps do not own the air waves
Nothing is being downloaded to a device..
Such resources should be used on real criminals and drug manufacturing/ distributors.
Just my opinion.
Have anyone heard about Razor tv?
I BELIEVE it is total BULLSHIT. considering the FACT that 99% of IPTV providers recommend using an IPV I doubt that as a provider you would leave YOURSELVES all open. It sounds like a scare tactic intended for the public because who wouldn’t get scared and think it was ALL FACTS.
I use an IPTV service for my live TV. When I use it I use IPVanish. My provider says there is not any need to. He says the service he offers is legal. I find that hard to believe. I have access to 1st run movies and PPV. I really enjoy my service and IPVanish works great…
Is it secret or can yo share which service you use?
What IPTV service do you use and how can you connect?
You can’t blame them for trying the price SKY are charging is ridiculous going up in price every couple of months
