HBO Max reportedly crashed right before the highly anticipated finale of Euphoria Season 2.
Thousands of users reported issues with the app on various streaming devices and more including the Amazon Firestick.
DownDetector, a popular website that provides real-time reports on outages and issues, noted over 52,000 complaints right as the episode was set to air.
Many encountered an error screen or message with the following statement:
Something Went Wrong. Sorry, we’re having trouble communicating with the service. Please close the app and try again.
Or, users came across a “Can’t Connect” message.
Either way, tons of fans across the US voiced their issues with HBO Max on twitter and other outlets.

Euphoria is a widely popular series that saw over 13 million viewers during the season 2 premiere.

After only a few minutes, HBO Max seemed to resolve the issue with the application and users again had access to stream.
A WarnerMedia spokesperson said in a statement:
We’ve seen the tweets from some of our users who had trouble accessing HBO Max around 9pm ET and are engaging directly to help get them back into the platform
This was later followed with a quick update:
This short interruption has since been resolved.
This isn’t the first time HBO Max users encountered issues as the app also crashed during the finale of Mare of Easttown last May.
