The operators of the PrimeStreams IPTV service are being sued for millions of dollars in a piracy lawsuit.
PrimeStreams IPTV was arguably one of the most popular IPTV services for several years that containing thousands of live channels, PPV, and VOD offerings.

PrimeStreams IPTV Operators Sued
As reported by TorrentFreak, DISH Network and Sling TV filed a lawsuit in Kentucky court this month accusing PrimeStreams IPTV of copyright infringement via their “rebroadcasting” operation.
According to the official complaint, the alleged operators of PrimeStreams IPTV are Daniel Scroggins and Steven Daugherty.
Both Scroggins and Daugherty are reported to be the co-owners of PrimeStreams and they used an “Investments” LLC to process payments related to the illegal IPTV operation.

The complaint states the following on PrimeStreams IPTV:
“PrimeStreams was advertised as a subscription-based streaming service providing over 3,000 channels, movies on demand, pay-per-view events, and sports programming, among other content, all for a low monthly fee.
The Programming retransmitted on the PrimeStreams service was received from Plaintiffs’ internet communications. Identifiers unique to Plaintiffs’ internet communications were detected when viewing the Programming on the PrimeStreams service.”
The complaint then goes on to mention that PrimeStreams was using various domains to sell the illegal IPTV service.
This included primestreams.tv, primestreamstv.com, primehosting.one, and likely others.
However, what’s interesting is after doing further research on this service we found a few websites claiming to be the official PrimeStreams IPTV service.
The operators of PrimeStreams IPTV also used “resellers” to sell more subscriptions to this IPTV operation under different brands.
Some of these “reseller” brand names include Bing TV, Better Than Cable TV, and Firesticksteve (FSS).
Operators Dismissed Warnings
The official court complaint states that around September 24, 2021, the defendants (PrimeStreams operators) were notified that their IPTV operation violates federal laws and was told to cease and desist.

It appears this warning was either rejected or ignored by the operators, which led to this massive lawsuit.
While no exact figure is mentioned, we can safely assume that DISH Network is pursuing millions of dollars in copyright damages from the PrimeStreams IPTV operators.
Only a few months ago, we saw DISH Network file a lawsuit against Set TV and asked the court to sign off an award of more than $500 million dollars for a lower level of infringement.

I think the real crooks here are those companies that charge too much for home entertainment. All of this content can be found for free on the internet, and yet these companies charge for every little thing. I agree with other comments, that TV should be free. It was free when it was first invented, and should remain that way. Companies should make money off of advertisements before and after the show. Definitely not during. This is just about GREED. It sounds like these guys were the Robin Hoods of TV. Not harming anyone besides those companies that want to suck every penny for every little thing. If they made things affordable to begin with, this def. wouldn’t be an issue.
Apollo Group TV has been working great for me. They always have a update for their program. Also Falcon TV service works great also know as Netgo. TroyPoint. What’s does the ms mean on Vanish VPN ?
Cable companies are price gouging crooks,
If they had one complete package that included everything for a reasonable price. It wouldnt be an issue. Direct tv sucks, dish network sucks , optimum sucks they all suck. Rip offs.
It’s pathetic that with thousands of channels there’s still nothing to watch. Yet the plaintiffs in these court cases insist on gouging their customers while suing operators offering a fair price.
I always use a VPN (Nord right now) and create a Blur CC to pay my bill.
I feel that if the big tv providers would stop gouging their customers this would not be a problem.
I hate Dish and Direct Tv they are all crooks all they do is up their prices all the time for no reason just to make more money they got with their contract. They charge you if you quit before you contract is over a minimum of 2 years.
Maybe “We The People” should sue DISH and AT&T for being horrible money grabbing companies!!!!! I love my IPTV service!!!
If possible these iptv services should make it so their service doesn’t work unless a vpn is activated during use. Thanks to troypoint I always use a vpn. The tv service companies are all searching for easy money since everyone is looking for cheaper service.
I bought Express VPN, messedc up my Z8 box then tried Pure VPN .. absolutely bloody useless, slows my internet down to virtually stopped. I had Norge or something similar when I lived in Europe and that was God, it even had a specific “BBC iPlayer” slection as well as lots of cities to choose from.

Here in Canada we have whats called the “CRTC” which was formed by the Canadian Government as an independent watchdog of the large Cable Companies in Canada to regulate the high fees they were charging their customers and in response to consumer complaints. Guess what? ever since this watch dog group was formed our cable fees have increased substantially and to add salt to the wound the head of the CRTC was caught having coffee with the CEO of Rogers Cable shortly before they and other cable giants recently raised their rates? so who is in who’s pocket?
Love Primestreams! If other providers offered their content and services at decent low cost rates, I’d use them. I also have DISH satellite that I get raped (pay monthly) for. Their service isn’t all that, but not much offered when you live in the boonies. Plus, DISH is always blocking channels because of some
Legal issue with one of their programmers. I remember being without NBC on DISH for months one time because of all of the greedy programmers and providers. Did DISH offer a refund during this time? Nope!

I use a VPN and, if need be, will use one of the out-of-the-country servers the VPN offers and bring up their out-of-the-country many sites (apps) which provide PPV, movies, etc. whereas they are not under the jurisdiction of greedy corporate conglomerates which have the courts in their pocket. And the great corruption continues in this country with two sets of justice. One for the upper class elites and the other justice which always has the average “Joe” punished severely. So, protect yourself and get a VPN to use the Internet freely. Places like China control their citizen’s Internet privileges. Are we becoming like them?
The whole problem started with greed. If the providers offered their services at a true cost I do t think anyone would object. The problem is they want obscene profits to promote their stock holders and pay million dollar salaries to the admin staff.
While we’re at it, what happened to Stellar Streams? I believed the hype enough to sign up for 90 days, it lasted a week. I could have forgiven them if a warning email hit my inbox but again not my first rodeo…
I had them for a year and when I got an automated invoice and paid it they promptly issued a refund while the service was still up. I’d reach out to them as they sent me an email last week reaching out to me to contact them for other services they offer. When GearsTV went out I had just paid for 6 months. Still worth the cost when one of them craps out. Lol
I think that AT&T are just wanting to “get back” at them because they are losing revenue. I reside in Canada, and in the past 10 years,approx., I saw AT&T’s Security system be bought out by Telus and other “services” they had be either sold out or discontinued. This is just a huge waste of time because AT&T is going to lose this war.
I wish I had known this before paying my monthly subscription yesterday. Now I have no service and am out of the money.
I believe that there needs to be protection for both parties. The truth is post streaming, the original provider really has zero chance of controlling the content however these lawsuits are a way to pump the breaks for others. I believe a delayed re-broadcast may be a possible avenue to aggregate the content. The aggregation is the key to cord-cutting and usability for the vast majority of users.

Dish Network (AT&T) I feel is wanting money because AT&T has been struggling with money for sometime I read. Sling is just out for money because they don’t really offer many decent channels. After reading reviews on them they should work on fixing their buffering issues among other things. I think TV should be free like network TV.
Direct TV is owned by AT&T. Dish Network is owned by Ecostar
I am not a fan of corporate greed, thus, I hope other companies can learn from SET and Prime Stream how they are being identified by DISH, SLING etc. and close the loophole(s).
I use an IPTV service. I also always use IPVANISH. My provider says he is not worried. Should he be?
I have seen the FBI go in and shut these providers down, access their business records such as cc they processed for services, and then go after the cc holders for wiretapping. Always use a VPN and a gift cc, not the cc that is issued to you from your bank.
