Amazon has launched a new device to add to their lineup of Fire TV streaming devices – the all-new Fire TV Stick HD.

This latest variation of Firestick will replace the Fire TV Stick Lite and Fire TV Stick models as their new “budget friendly” choice. It combines the hardware of the Lite version with the new Alexa Voice Remote that was included with the regular Fire TV Stick.
It is now the cheapest Firestick device available, currently priced at $34.99, which is just $5 more than the purchase price of the Lite and $5 less than the 3rd Gen Fire TV Stick.
You won’t find many new advancements in this latest iteration, as the Operating System for the Fire TV Stick HD is currently FireOS 7.6.7.9 (the same as the Lite).
However, this is the first time we have seen one of these lower priced Firesticks come included with an Alexa Voice Remote that has TV controls for power and volume.
The biggest feature of note here is that just like the previous models, the Fire TV Stick HD will only broadcast content in high definition up to 1080p. There are no 4K capabilities so if that is something you require, you will want to opt for a Fire TV Stick 4K or Fire TV Cube.
However, if you are in the market for a simple streaming device that still broadcasts in HD, it may be a great option!
Other notable features include 8 GB of Storage, 1 GB RAM, and Wi-Fi 5 support, all bundled with a MediaTek MT8695D quad-core CPU.

Many have been expecting to see a new Fire TV model, however, most assumed that their newest device would include the Vega Operating System which has been rumored for quite some time.
Those who were anticipating the new OS will have to wait as the Fire TV Stick HD is still built on the Fire OS Software that is found in all Fire TV devices.
You can buy the Fire TV Stick HD right now via Amazon as these devices are in stock and shipping immediately.

What Do You Think?
Millions of cord-cutters around the world use Amazon Firestick and Fire TV devices as their preferred option to stream content in high definition. Many love their low price point, advanced features, and jailbreak abilities to install 3rd party apps.
Those who use these devices have been anticipating a new release, however, most were hoping to see some new advancements/upgrades/features. This latest iteration has nothing new!
A lot of streamers have been making the switch to Android/Google TV devices such as the onn. 4K Pro or the all-new Google TV Streamer. These boxes have fewer restrictions and more features that many are looking for such as larger internal storage, more RAM, and WiFi 6 capabilities.
Google TV and Android TV also appear to have less ads that fill the home screen and provide a much simpler navigation/interface to find the content you are looking for.
We want to know what you think of the all-new Fire TV Stick HD from Amazon. Are you interested in purchasing one of these or would you rather opt for a higher level option such as the Fire TV Stick 4K Max, Fire TV Cube, or Google TV Streamer.
