Formuler Releases Two New Z12 Devices & MYTVOnline 4

Formuler has officially expanded its popular Z12 lineup with two new streaming devices alongside the full release of MYTVOnline 4.

The company announced the new Formuler Z12 Ultra SE and Z12 Pro, which join the flagship Z12 Ultra that was released last year.

Both devices run Android 12 and come equipped with the newly released MYTVOnline 4 application for live TV and VOD playback.

Perhaps more noteworthy for existing Formuler users is that MYTVOnline 4 has now received its official release after previously being introduced alongside the Z12 Series.

According to Formuler, MYTVOnline 4 is available exclusively for Z12 Series devices, meaning owners of older Z11, Z10, and other models will continue using the MyTVOnline 3 App.

Formuler Z12 Ultra SE

The Z12 Ultra SE is essentially a scaled-down version of the company’s flagship Z12 Ultra.

It uses the same Realtek RTD1319C processor and Mali-G57 MC1 GPU found in the Ultra, but reduces the RAM from 4GB to 2GB and internal storage from 128GB to 64GB.

Despite the reductions, the Ultra SE retains many of the more premium features found on the flagship device, including Wi-Fi 6E, Gigabit Ethernet, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, AV1 decoding, and 4K playback at up to 60 FPS.

One particularly useful feature is the 64GB of built-in storage that can be used for internal recording and TimeShift without connecting an external USB drive.

The Z12 Ultra SE also includes Formuler’s GTV-BT3 Bluetooth Voice Remote.

This is the company’s premium remote with backlit buttons, programmable hotkeys, IR learning, and a useful “Find My Remote” feature.

The Formuler Z12 Ultra SE is currently priced at $229.99 and can be found on the Formuler Store Website.

It is not available on Amazon as of the writing of this article.

Formuler Z12 Pro

The new Z12 Pro is the more affordable option and is designed as an everyday streaming device for those who don’t need the additional storage and features of the Ultra models.

It comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, along with 4K streaming capabilities and MYTVOnline 4.

Formuler also bundles the Z12 Pro with its GTV-BT1 Bluetooth Voice Remote rather than the premium BT3 included with the Ultra models.

Formuler describes the Z12 Pro as an option for bringing the new MYTVOnline 4 experience to “everyday streaming with essential performance and refined usability.”

MYTVOnline 4 Officially Released

Alongside these new devices is the official release of MYTVOnline 4, which Formuler calls the “biggest evolution of MYTVOnline yet.”

MYTVOnline is a popular IPTV Player and has long been one of the biggest selling points of Formuler devices for integrating compatible live TV services.

The fourth generation brings a major overhaul with a new Home interface that combines recently watched content, trending selections, recommendations, and other options in one location.

One of the biggest additions is AI-powered recommendations.

Users can receive movie suggestions based on their preferences, including some rather unique discovery tools designed around a selected “mood.”

MYTVOnline 4 also introduces individual user profiles. Up to four profiles can be created on a single device, with each maintaining its own watch history, preferences, and personalized recommendations.

That means Z11 Pro Max, Z11 Pro, Z10, and other older Formuler owners should not expect the new application through a software update.

Final Thoughts

Formuler continues to take a different approach from most Android-based streaming device manufacturers by focusing heavily on its proprietary MYTVOnline platform.

One major drawback with these new devices is the lack of RAM and storage, especially considering the premium price typically associated with Formuler products.

In comparison, the Onn 4K Pro currently sells for around $60 and comes equipped with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, making the 2GB of RAM found in both the Z12 Pro and Z12 Ultra SE difficult to justify.

MYTVOnline 4 itself is likely the bigger story for current Z12 owners, with personalized profiles, AI recommendations, faster performance, and a completely redesigned interface.

Unfortunately, restricting the application to Z12 devices also means anyone with an older—and potentially still expensive—Formuler box will need to purchase new hardware if they want access to MYTVOnline 4.
