Italian courts sentenced Cristian Fidato to four years and four months in prison for operating the illegal ‘Italia TV’ streaming service.
The 23-year-old ringleader also received a €22,000 fine after authorities shut down his operation in December 2024.
Fidato’s associates faced lighter penalties. Anatoliy Perrotta from Ukraine got one year and four months with a suspended sentence. A third defendant received one year in prison.
The Guardia di Finanza of Naples led the investigation, discovering Italia TV had generated approximately €850,000 in revenue over four years by charging subscribers €80 annually.
