Kodi 18.9 has officially been released! This is now considered the “stable” version of this application.

We thought that Kodi 18.8 was the final release of the 18 build but some important bug fixes required an emergency update which you will see from the quote below.

Important Note: TROYPOINT has not tested Kodi 18.9 thoroughly with add-ons or builds and some may not work properly with this new release.

Kodi 18.9 Fixes and Updates

There are no new features in the Kodi 18.9 release, only bug fixes.

Should you update?  Most people won’t notice any improvements.  If you see something that has been causing troubles for you such as the metadata problem then updating will definitely fix that problem.

We recommend not updating, if Kodi is running well for you under the current version you are using.
