Police Arrest 3 for Pirate IPTV Operation with 30K Subscribers

A two-year investigation into a major illegal streaming network has resulted in the arrest of three men suspected of operating a pirate IPTV service with 30,000 subscribers.

Law enforcement in Germany carried out a large-scale operation across multiple regions, targeting 18 suspects at 17 locations.

Two other suspects—a 59-year-old from the Cologne Bonn region and a 37-year-old from Baden-Württemberg—are also being held on similar charges. Authorities believe the operation caused damages exceeding $10 million.

Law Enforcement Operation Sweeps Across Multiple Regions

In mid-February, more than 150 police officers participated in coordinated raids across Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg, North Rhine-Westphalia, Schleswig-Holstein, and Saarland.

During these raids, officers seized €16,000 in cash, €35,000 in cryptocurrency, and over 200 digital devices suspected of being used to facilitate illegal streaming. Several bank accounts linked to the suspects were also confiscated.

Search warrants were executed at multiple locations, and the three primary suspects were detained based on arrest warrants issued by the Bamberg District Court. The suspects are currently being held in different correctional facilities in Germany.
