Kodi 18.8 has officially been released! This is now considered the “stable” version of this application.
The following article shows the updates and changes within Kodi 18.8 Leia. You can also download the most recent version using the links below the text or learn how to update.
18.8 is the eighth and final release of the “Leia” version. It appears the Kodi developers have focused their efforts towards the highly anticipated Kodi 19 “Matrix” launch.
Important Note: TROYPOINT has not tested Kodi 18.8 thoroughly with add-ons or builds and some may not work properly with this new release.
Kodi 18.8 Fixes and Updates
There are no new features in the Kodi 18.8 release, only bug fixes.
Should you update? Most people won’t notice any improvements. If you see something that has been causing problems for you in the list below, yes you should update.
The following quote comes from the official Kodi Website:
As usual, this is a bug fix release, so don’t go looking for new features. As you’d expect this late in the 18.x development cycle, this isn’t a huge release, but it does include some things we thought were necessary to keep us going until the next major release emerges.
We recommend not updating, if Kodi is running well for you under the current version you are using.
