Downloader App Error: Unknown server error. Try again in a few seconds

Downloader App Error: Unknown Server Error

If you come across the Downloader App Error: Unknown server error. Try again in a few seconds this usually means one of two things.

The first problem could be that the Downloader app server is having problems and you can simply try back a bit later and it will be working properly.

The second possibility is that there’s something wrong with your network.

Either way, this article will provide help for both scenarios.

The Downloader App has become one of the most popular applications on Amazon Fire TV devices and Android TV systems.  It allows for side-loading applications that can’t be found in popular app stores such as Amazon App Store or Google Play.

If you’ve used Downloader for any length of time, more than likely you’ve encountered the following message.

Error: Unknown Server Error in Downloader App

When TROYPOINT fans complain about Unknown Server Error in Downloader, they are usually trying to access the free TROYPOINT Toolbox with the code 250931.  The Toolbox provides downloads for popular applications that aren’t available in the Amazon App Store or Google Play such as Unlinked and FileSynced.

Today is one of those days we’re getting the Downloader Server Error when attempting to open the TROYPOINT Toolbox.

I first type in the code 250931 and then click the Go button.

Downloader Unknown Server Error

I then see Error: Unknown server error. Try again in a few seconds.

Error: Unknown server error. Try again in a few seconds

The problem is that the Downloader server is not properly transforming codes into their final destination URLs.

But, I can still go directly to the TROYPOINT Toolbox by typing instead of 250931. instead of Downloader code

Now, the TROYPOINT Toolbox loads and I can install my favorite secret applications.

Most use either Unlinked or FileSynced to install additional applications and both of those are available in the TROYPOINT Toolbox.

  1. Haven’t been able to access the toolbox for weeks. Changed the network from WiFi to Ethernet. Can use the code to get to the security screen, but can’t get past there, after clicking I’m a human. The last time I check that was the case. Tried Insider for help but didn’t get any. Been here for a long time. Too bad Troypoint has outgrown engagement. I like the site, it’s unable now. O an unable to add a photo here. Clicking on it freezes my machine.

    1. Hi Bruce this is the first time I’ve heard of a security screen unless you are connecting from another country with a suspicious IP address where our security might block it. I would suggest rebooting router, cable modem, and streaming device then try again.

  2. I used Downloader to find the Spectrum apk. The site it returned took some info and then said I was subscribed to “Thefitness-hour”dot com. It said I had a 5-day free trial but I got a scam alert from my bank asking me if I authorized the charge. I declined the charge and cancelled my credit card. I then went to the website and logged in with the id and pw they emailed me. Sure enough, I was subscribed to some health site at $49.95/mon renewable every month. I unsubscribed immediately. They said, “sorry to see you go. You will not be charged for further services.” Yeah, sure. I’m about to file a complaint with the California AG to see if this outfit needs a look-see. Careful with Downloader. It is an entry point for scam apks.

    1. Hi there,

The Downloader App is nothing more than a browser. If you were searching for Spectrum APK on Downloader, you were simply doing a Google search. The same results would have been returned no matter the device or browser you were using. Make sure not to pay for anything over the internet that you aren’t certain of.

  3. I have been getting same thing with unlinked n filesync are these sites down? Thanks in advance for any help also noticed that when I turn off surfshark VPN I get through then I turn it back on

  4. I am getting the same error when using Downloader I can get to Troypoint Toolbox using There must be and issue with the Downloader server. I hope this issue clears up soon. Does anybody know what the problem is?

  5. Thanks for the info it should prove to be very helpful.

I would also like bring to your attention that for some reason when using Kodi 20.1, IPVanish will continue to disconnect. Even after manually reconnecting. VPN Monitor Dot has also been doing the same. The problem started over a week ago. I’m not sure if my ISP is to blame or if some update to my Firestick4k is causing this problem. Any suggestions or ideas about this will be appreciated.

    1. Try using different connection .wire guard has been doing the samething try, open VPN tcp, open up.or.check n see if there’s update available
