Disney Files Complaint Against Pikashow APK and Others
According to a report from TorrentFreak, Disney has filed a complaint with police in India targeting the Pikashow application, TamilRockers, and other well-known pirate sites.
More specifically, Disney Star, which is the subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company has filed piracy complaints against these outfits.
Disney Star is the largest television and entertainment network in India that has a network of over 60 live channels and on-demand content. This reaches around 790 million monthly viewers in India and surrounding regions.

The reports indicate that Pikashow was one of the four piracy brands reported to the police by Disney Star.
Disney Star noticed that several of its “Hotstar Specials” were being illegally distributed by Pikashow APK and others.
For instance, live TV content from its Star Plus, Star Gold, Star World, and Star Sports channels was illegally broadcasted on the Pikashow application.
In addition to Pikashow, the other pirate websites currently being targeted by Disney Star include the following:
- Tamil Rockers (tamilrockermovies.us)
- Tamil Blasters (tamilblasters.lol)
- Tamil MV (1tamilmv.cloud)
All of these names are popular Indian streaming sites with millions of monthly visitors.
It was also reported that two individuals were arrested and named by Disney Star in the official complaint. They are alleged residents of the Yelahanka suburb of Bengaluru city in India.
A police officer involved with this case commented the following:
“The cumulative traffic on these platforms is estimated at 62 million. They mostly offer Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam content, which is leaked on their websites. Of late, they have been offering content in other languages, including Hindi. The FIR has been registered by Disney Star. We are investigating the matter.”
