DAZN is well-known for its sports streaming content which includes live events such as boxing, tennis, and soccer.

As many know, these live events are oftentimes re-broadcast to various outlets including online streaming sites and even social media platforms.

Their latest partnership with Videocites looks to tackle this problem for events they broadcast by locating and removing these streams altogether.

This is built to work on social media outlets that have become a popular source for live-streaming sports and much more.

Sandeep Tiku, CTO of DAZN Group, commented on the agreement with Videocites and the impact it will have.

By quickly removing pirated broadcasts on social media, we disrupt the viewing experience, which discourages the use of illegal links in favor of legitimate streaming services…

In short, the theft of intellectual property will decrease and a fair and sustainable digital environment will be promoted , safeguarding the interests of broadcasters, rights owners and athletes. The potential of this solution is enormous

The press release from DAZN notes that by using Videocites software, they will be able to remove 98% of illegal streams in a matter of minutes.

Eyal Arad, co-founder and CEO of Videocites also commented on battling piracy and their latest deal with DAZN:

The fact that any individual can today stream an event has escalated piracy on social networks and no manual solution can cope with this growth of large-scale piracy…

Videocites uses artificial intelligence tools applied to video to combat the growing wave of piracy in social networks, where we detect and activate effective measures immediately. We are proud to collaborate with a leading and innovative streaming platform like DAZN and support its global growth.

It will be interesting to see how this partnership develops in the future and if there will be a decrease in the number of unauthorized sports streams online.

I have signed up and use Surfshark already. Don’t think I got the discount. Thanks for all you do. Been following you from the very beginning.

  2. Guess who’s never getting a dime out of me? I’d rather pay off FITE if DAZN’s doin this, they suck so now it’s time to try to squash those doing it 10x beter. Pathetic.

And VideoCities? WHO? Guess they’re going on the ban/block list and filters. If they do have any real clients time for boycotts too!
