TelevisaUnivision wants a Florida federal judge to award $32.7 million against the operators of three pirate IPTV services, none of whom showed up in court.
The September 4 motion targets the six people behind Thunder TV, Sunset TV, and Tele Latino. All of them ignored the case after it was filed in June, so the clerk entered defaults on August 6.
Whoever runs Pop TV and Kaelus TV, the two remaining services, is still an unnamed John Doe.
The Self-Expanding Blocking Injunction
The damages grab headlines, but the injunction is what matters.
A blocking order that grows without a judge reviewing it is familiar in Canada and Europe. This one reaches further.
July’s preliminary version let TU add domains and IP addresses on its own, a power it used twice inside a month. The permanent version stretches it. TU could add new defendants, not just domains, without asking the court.
Another clause sweeps in any service built on similar technology or chasing the same subscribers.
That clause appears aimed at one app. Thunder TV reportedly dropped TU content, then its operators launched a mirror called Black Eye that carries it, and TU says old logins still work.

Nearly 600 Domains and 121 Intermediaries
The paperwork covers twelve brands, including XuperTV, Tarjeta Roja, and Pirlo TV.
TU calls XuperTV a white label built on the same Magis TV infrastructure as Tele Latino, which Argentina already blocked nationwide.
The intermediary list runs 121 deep, covering registrars, hosting and CDN providers, payment channels, and app stores.
Namecheap and GoDaddy sit on it beside registries in Russia, Iran, and Romania. GitHub, Canva, Wix, and Automattic are named too.
Two regional internet registries, RIPE NCC and APNIC, were labeled hosting providers. They allocate IP address space rather than host content, so neither can block anything.
If granted, Cloudflare would have to surface the origin servers behind roughly 90 IP addresses, and Roku would pull the apps along with their install codes.

Those misfiled registries say plenty about how carefully these sweeping orders get drafted.
TU is unlikely to see a dollar from defendants who never appeared, which is why the injunction matters more than the number. The Streameast seizures ended the same way, yet those clones came right back.
