The ever popular Downloader App that is used by most cord-cutters to install applications on media devices has updated to its latest version with various improvements and a new logo.

Downloader has garnished extreme popularity as it provides the ability to sideload applications on the most well-known streaming devices such as Fire TV Stick and Android/Google TV Boxes.
Many prefer to do so with popular Downloader Codes that only require a small series of numbers for the fastest installation of 3rd party applications and APKs.
The latest update, V1.5.1, has new features and fixes but the most important upgrade is to the official logo for the application that has been revamped completely.
Unfortunately, this change was forced upon Elias Saba (owner of the Downloader app) after a company by the name of Astral IP Enterprise Ltd. has attempted to remove Downloader from the Google Play Store.
They claim that Elias has violated their trademark for the download icon (arrow pointing down with a line under it) and are using this trademark to remove similar applications from the Google Play Store.
A company by the name of Astral IP Enterprise Ltd. is trying to get my Downloader app removed from the Google Play Store for violating its ridiculous trademark for the generic download icon (i.e., a down arrow with a line under it). From what I can tell, this company is linked to Leap Fitness Group, since all of its trademarks are for Leap’s apps, including this “Downloader – Video Downloader” app. Do you see where this is going? It appears as though Leap Fitness Group acquired this generic trademark from InShot Inc., makers of this other “Video Downloader” app, and are now using it to knock similar apps off of the Google Play Store. For all I know, these two could be the same company, as there are numerous company names, all with very similar app catalogs containing what look to be clones of the same apps.
This isn’t the first time we have seen Downloader in the crosshairs, as it was removed from Google Play just a year ago after an absurd DMCA takedown request from Warner Brothers Discovery in India.
After almost a month’s long removal and tireless work, Elias was able to get his app back into the Play Store with a DMCA counter-notice.
Unfortunately, it appears as though the uphill battle for the downloading platform continues with these latest accusations of copyright infringement and for safety measures, Elias decided to change the logo entirely.

You can see the new logo pictured below which will now display on all devices you have the app installed on including Firestick, Android/Google TV Box, as well as Android phones and tablets.

With the new logo change also comes a new update for the app, complete with small bug fixes and various updates for overall improvement.
Here is the complete changelog for V1.5.1.
- Added a new app icon and logo due to a trademark claim made on the previous images.
- Fixed an issue causing the browser cursor to move too quickly on streaming devices.
- Fixed an issue preventing the back button from closing the app on mobile devices.
- Fixed an issue preventing the cursor from exiting the Home text field when the TV interface is active on mobile devices.
- Fixed an issue causing some devices to download files twice.
You can update the app within your device’s app store including Amazon App or Google Play by simply searching and selecting the update button as shown here:
