The popular Movie and TV Show app Apollo TV has been shut down. This comes after the developer received a cease and desist notice from anti-piracy coalition ACE.
The app’s owner immediately removed the website and APK after receiving the notice and it will likely not return.
In speaking with TorrentFreak, the developer had the following to say:
I received a cease and desist from the Alliance 4 Creativity – the same people who took down Opeenload and Streamango – citing ApolloTV making copyrighted works copied and hosted by unaffiliated third parties without permission from the copyright holder
He claims he does not have the time or resources to fight a lawsuit and is complying with ACE’s requests for removal.
