The U.S. government just ran its biggest World Cup piracy sweep yet, seizing nearly 400 domains in one coordinated strike timed to the tournament playing out on American soil.

The Department of Justice calls it “Operation Offsides,” and it dwarfs the 2022 crackdown by roughly five times. Agents targeted sites streaming live matches as they aired, leaning on brand names like rojadirecta, koora, and futbollibre.
Details of Operation Offsides
In a release dated June 26, 2026, the DOJ confirmed it seized roughly 400 domains streaming the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The National Intellectual Property Rights Coordination Center led the action with HSI Washington.
When visiting any of the seized websites, you will notice a seizure banner that reveals support from a variety of foreign organizations and authorities.

Assistant Attorney General A. Tysen Duva stated the following on this situation:
“We have seized hundreds of domains, used to illegally stream World Cup matches for profit, to disrupt the international networks that profit from the global popularity of the World Cup. This operation illustrates the Department’s respect for intellectual property rights and the responsibility of the United States as a host nation to protect the FIFA World Cup from criminals. The Criminal Division will continue to disrupt and, where appropriate, seek to prosecute these sites and the subjects responsible for this criminal activity.”
FIFA was the lead rights holder, backed by beIN Media Group, NBCUniversal, ACE, the UFC, and Warner Bros. Through the ICHIP network, officials also hit servers in Peru, Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania, Poland, and Colombia.
The Seized Streaming Domains Are Mostly Clones
The DOJ published no list, so TorrentFreak traced dozens by watching which sites switched to the government’s seizedservers.com nameservers.

The seized futbollibreonline.com pulled just 166,000 visits last month, while futbol-libre.su, on a Russian registry beyond U.S. reach, stays online with over 73 million. The feds bagged copycats while the giants kept streaming.
Below is a condensed list of the traced domains. The full traced list runs well past 100 names across .com, .net, .org, .name, and .app.
- kooora365.com, koora-shoot.com, golkoora.com, freekora.com
- bein-match.com, beinmatchtv.com, bein-match-worldcup.com
- futbollibreusa.com, futbollibreonline.com, gollibre.com
- rojadirectastv.org, rojadirectatv.net, viper-play.org, viperplay.net
- pelotalibrehd.org, yalalive.app, istreameast.app, fbstream.cc
- redditsoccerstreams.name, jokerlivestreams.net, espnlive.net
As expected, after quick research we found dozens of active clones providing live streams to World Cup games. Seizures of pirate streaming domains is an endless game of whac-a-mole.

Final Thoughts from Troy
Nearly 400 domains sounds massive until you notice the 73-million-visit site never got touched. Operators will register fresh domains within days, same as after any ACE/MPA sweep.
Plenty of these clones doubled as bait, the same way fake World Cup streaming sites push scams instead of matches. The safest path is using 100% verified live TV services.
