Police Arrest 42 Year Old Man & Send Letters to 30 IPTV Suspects

The UK police and FACT are cracking down on illegal IPTV suppliers, arresting a suspect and sending warnings to others.

Police and FACT Arrest IPTV Suspect

The United Kingdom continues its aggressive stance against illegal IPTV operations, as a 42-year-old man in South Wales was arrested in connection with the sale of “illicit Firesticks.”

This arrest is part of a larger enforcement campaign led by local police and the anti-piracy group FACT.

During the two-week effort, cease and desist letters were issued to 30 other suspects involved in the distribution of IPTV services.

The campaign’s primary objective was to disrupt and dismantle online piracy networks. FACT also extended its reach by issuing takedown notices to social media platforms and online marketplaces where these illicit services are promoted.

Serious Warnings for Suspected IPTV Pirates

FACT CEO Kieron Sharp emphasized the potential consequences for those involved in streaming piracy. According to Sharp, the cease and desist letters serve as the first step toward criminal prosecution.

Sharp’s full comments include the following:

“Our cease-and-desist measures are not just warnings—they are the first step toward holding offenders accountable. Many who ignored these notices in the past are now facing arrest and criminal charges. We strongly advise anyone involved in these activities to stop immediately.

“If you’re supplying or using illicit streaming devices or illegal IPTV subscriptions, take this as a clear warning: you are breaking the law and risk facing serious consequences.

“We will continue working with police to track down and shut down these illegal operations. The police across the UK have been unstinting in their efforts to tackle this criminality and we are grateful for their assistance.”

This recent crackdown comes just weeks after another individual was sentenced to prison for their role in illegal streaming activities.

FACT and UK police remain steadfast in their pursuit, citing the importance of these measures in curbing piracy.

The Ongoing Fight Against Piracy

Despite these efforts, the issue of illegal IPTV services persists. Critics note that piracy enforcement often feels like a game of “whack-a-mole,” where new suppliers emerge as quickly as others are shut down.

Over the years, UK authorities have prosecuted more IPTV resellers and distributors than anywhere else globally, yet the problem remains widespread.
