Proof You Can’t Trust 3rd Party Streaming/IPTV Outfits

Over the years, we’ve provided TROYPOINT fans with security protocols to use when dealing with unverified 3rd party streaming/IPTV outfits.  Some people take our advice but many do not.

We’re now hearing from the ones who haven’t used our security protocols as they are worried what Real-Debrid is going to do with their download/streaming logs attached to their identifying IP Address.

If you didn’t know, Real-Debrid is no longer working in many streaming apps/addons due to copyright compliance on their part.

By the way, here are the security precautions that we suggest in almost every tutorial and they are simple to implement.  More on Real-Debrid threats later in this article.

TROYPOINT Security Protocols

1. Never use any questionable website, service, or app without first connecting to a reputable VPN.  TROYPOINT recommends using Surfshark VPN in all tutorials published on this site.  If you don’t use a VPN, the 3rd party has your IP Address that personally identifies you through your Internet Service Provider.

2. Never provide your real contact information when registering for these services.  This includes name, email address, physical address, phone number, etc.  Troy suggests using StartMail Private Email because you can create unlimited secure email aliases and use those for these questionable services.

3. Never provide credit card details for payment.  Pay with crypto (Bitcoin) instead.  Setting up a Coinbase account is easy and keep in mind that this is a legit service and is traded on the New York Stock Exchange.  The key is to use a middleman between you and the vendor.

4. Only access media that you’re legally allowed to consume within your jurisdiction.  Most tutorials on our website spells this out in our legal disclaimer.

Real-Debrid Threatening Users on Trustpilot

Angry Real-Debrid users have taken to Trustpilot to rank the service and here’s one that has sent fears through those who have used the service in the past.

As you can see, Real-Debrid is now threatening disgruntled users with sharing their download/streaming logs with copyright owners.

So you are the reason why we are in trouble for your piracy activities by not respecting our terms so yes you  have been blocked and we will be more than happy to share your details to copyright owners.

When people see this, their first order of action will be to terminate their account.  The problem is that their privacy policy states that they retain logs for 6 months regardless of whether you cancel or delete your downloads.  I go through this in the video below.

We can’t say this enough.  Never trust any of these unverified services, apps, addons, etc.!
