How to Install the Artic Build on Kodi (Recently Updated)

The following guide shows you how to install the Artic Build on any Kodi device.

‘Artic’ is a popular build that was recently updated and can now be installed from The Chains Repository. This is a ‘debrid only’ option that offers on-demand movies and TV series.

While there are no live channels or sports provided by Artic, this is still a great build for users of debrid services like Premiumize or Real-Debrid. This is built with premium add-ons that offer less buffering and better streaming links.

The Artic build can be installed on any device that runs the Kodi software and this includes streaming devices like the Amazon Firestick, Google TV/Android TV Boxes, PCs, tablets, and more.

How to Install Artic Kodi Build

1. Launch Kodi and click the Settings gear.

2. Choose System.

3. Within Add-ons menu, click Unknown sources to turn this feature on.

4. Click Yes. But make sure to read the important warning message that states these 3rd party add-ons will be granted access to your personal data.

5. Return to settings and open File Manager.

6. Click add source.

7. Select <None>.

8. Type the following URL – https://unhingedthemes.github.io/ and click OK.

9. Name your media source whatever you prefer and click OK.

10. Go back to settings and choose Add-ons.

11. Select install from zip file.

12. Click ‘artic’ or whatever you named the media source.

13. Select the zip file URL – repository.chainsrepo.zip

14. The repo installed message will now appear.

15. Choose install from repository.

16. Select the Chains Repository.

17. Now, click Program add-ons.

18. Open the Chains Build Wizard.

19. Select Install.

20. The wizard add-on installed message will now display in the upper right-hand corner.

21. Return back to the home screen of Kodi, hover over Add-ons and click the Chains Build Wizard under Program add-ons.

22. Select Build Menu.

23. Locate and click the Artic build.

24. Click Continue.

25. Wait for your build to download.

26. Click OK.

27. Relaunch the Kodi application.

28. Wait a minute or two for the build to launch, and you have successfully installed the Artic build!

How to Use Debrid Services

In order to stream content from the Artic build, we must first integrate a debrid service. In this example we are pairing our Premiumize account but this process will also work for Real-Debrid, AllDebrid, etc.

1. From the home screen of the Artic build, click Main Menu on the top left.

2. Click Settings.

3. Hover over Debrid on the left menu and click re-auth Premiumize (or your preferred debrid service).

4. You are then provided with a Premiumize authorization code.

5. Visit premiumize.me/device and enter the provided code from the previous step. If done correctly you should see an “authorization accepted” screen.

6. Return to Kodi and you should see a message that says ‘Authentication is completed.’ Your debrid service is now integrated for use.
