Amazon Launches New Fire TV Channels App for Firestick & Fire TV
Amazon has unveiled its new “Fire TV Channels” App for Firestick and Fire TV devices.
This application is built directly into Firestick devices and features tons of live and on-demand content from over 400 providers.
While “Fire TV Channels” has been around for a little while, this is the first time it has come in the form of a dedicated application.
Prior to the release of the official app, Fire TV Channels provided content to the home screen of Firestick and Fire TV devices.
This included local and national news options pulled directly from the Amazon News App.
In fact, Fire TV Channels is a revamped version of the Amazon News App with tons of bonus content besides free news streaming.
In a press release from Amazon, the company detailed some of the options that will be available within the application.
Customers can instantly access thousands of live and on-demand videos across news, sports, entertainment, cooking, travel, gaming, and more. With new videos added throughout the day, you can always find the latest stories and quickly catch up on what’s trending.
The app aggregates content from numerous sources and platforms including ABC News, CBS Sports HQ, Fox Sports, MLB, Martha Stewart, Billboard, Variety, Rolling Stone, and more.
There is no need to install Fire TV Channels as it is already available to US customers within Your Apps list.
Upon launch, users will have access to numerous categories including News, Sports, Entertainment, Gaming, Cooking, Travel, and Music Videos.
Within each category are various options for YouTube videos, trailers, news clips, highlights, and much more.
Firestick and Fire TV owners within the United States will find the Fire TV Channels App is a valuable addition for free streaming to the Amazon repertoire.

Fire Tv app is not coming up I’m unable to finish my download any idea how to fix it?
Historically, these channels have been junk. I doubt very much they have ABC live (as advertised).
Hi Troy, I live in Canada and I can’t seem to get any of Amazon’s free TV channels or the free freevee app for movies and tv shows. Is there a way around this?

You could try setting your VPN to a sever in the USA. Dunno, but worth a shot.
Don’t plan to use Fire TV channel on regular basis. Don’t care for commercials nor ads. However, I do plan to see how it has expanded.
