NVIDIA SHIELD users can rejoice with the latest update to these popular media streaming devices.
NVIDIA recently announced via blog post that all NVIDIA SHIELD devices will receive the latest software update 9.0.0 on their device.
This most recent update includes the Android 11 Operating System with tons of added features and improvements.
Users will have access to Gboard (Google Keyboard) and support for aptX Bluetooth headsets, among other things.
Installing the latest update is a simple process which we outline below.
This will work on any model of NVIDIA SHIELD including NVIDIA SHIELD TV Stick & NVIDIA SHIELD TV Pro.

How to Update NVIDIA SHIELD
1. From the Home Screen of your device, click the Settings Icon in the upper right-hand corner.
2. Click Device Preferences.
3. Select About.
4. Choose System upgrade.
5. Click Check for upgrade.
6. Choose Check for upgrade again.
7. Click Restart to Install.
8. Wait for the update to download.
9. Your device will then implement the update.
10. After installing the update, your NVIDIA SHIELD will restart for use.
