Netflix Comes Out With New Free Section and No Sign Up Required!

Netflix recently announced the addition of a new free section that includes access to Stranger Things, Murder Mystery, and other popular titles.

The best part about this new free section is that no Netflix subscription is required!

To get started all you need to do is visit the Netflix Watch Free Page on any web browser and click Watch Now under your preferred title.

As of this writing, the full list of Movies and TV Shows for free includes the following:

  • Stranger Things
  • Murder Mystery
  • Bird Box
  • Our Planet
  • Grace and Frankie
  • Elite
  • The Two Popes
  • The Boss Baby: Back in Business
  • When They See Us
  • Love is Blind

Although the initial list of free offerings only contains 10 titles to choose from, these are very popular among Netflix users.

Netflix also hinted at the possibility of adding more free titles over time, as stated on their website:

Netflix offers a selection of TV shows and movies to watch free so you can experience some of our great content. The selection may change from time to time, so watch now!

It seems the addition of free content to Netflix’s service is a response to other streaming platforms like Peacock TV or even YouTube who both offer hundreds of free movies to choose from.

Important Note: As seen on the Netflix support page, it’s noted that iOS browsers are not supported for the free section as of this writing.

However, streaming devices such as the Amazon Firestick, Fire TV, Android Boxes, PCs, tablets, and Android phones are all compatible and work great.

You can access the Netflix Watch Free page by using the Silk Browser or by installing the application from the app store.

  2. Yes, we are a Netflix subscriber – wife wouldn’t be without it. And we are a 100% streaming household for the past 3 years. I was elated to hear that Android TV Boxes are compatible only for the reason of not being excluded, otherwise as a Netflix subscriber, I would expect to be included. Comcast offering of their free streaming box with Peacock TV and other pay for content was most likely the cause of Netflix offer of a Free section as you stated. Years ago Comcast wouldn’t support home networks which shows that #wethepeople decide what the mainstream is. Thanks for this announcement Troypoint !!
