The all-new Amazon Firestick Max is beginning to arrive at doorsteps and box stores across the country.
We received one in the mail today and wanted to give a quick look at all the details and features of this popular device.
Unboxing this device shows the same accessories as older models with an included All-New Alexa Voice Remote.
Mine came with dedicated app buttons for Prime Video, Netflix, Disney+, and Hulu.
Like previous models before it, setting up your new Firestick Max is a breeze, especially if you already own another version.
Users are prompted with the option to Restore from another device and install current apps, settings, and parental controls.
After setup is complete, you will notice the device home screen with the updated interface that Amazon rolled out earlier this year.
Best of all, users can sideload applications via the Downloader App which allows you to Jailbreak the Firestick Max.
Unlike other variations of the Firestick, the Firestick Max features 2 GB of RAM, making it 40% faster than older models.
The Fire TV Stick Lite is equipped with 1 GB of RAM while the Firestick 4k features 1.5 GB of RAM.
After plugging in and setting up the new Firestick Max, it is easy to see there are a few noticeable improvements.
Navigation of the device seems snappier than other Firestick models and apps load quicker upon launch.
The new Firestick Max also comes with built-in WiFi 6 Chipset to ensure a better connection for smoother streaming.
Many were wondering if this device would have external storage capabilities, and it turns out it does.
The only other Firestick model to have this option is the Fire TV Stick 4k which allows you to connect an OTG Cable to access files via USB Drive.
Firestick Max also provides this ability which is a prominent feature for dedicated Firestick users.
We are just getting started unpacking all of the details and features of this device but will keep you updated as we test it more.
Stay tuned for a complete Firestick Max 4K Review that will tell you everything you need to know about Amazon’s latest Firestick.
