How To Install Covenant Kodi

Install Covenant Kodi

This step-by-step tutorial will show you how to install Covenant on Kodi.

Covenant is the replacement for the popular Exodus addon.  Exodus is no longer being updated, so it is important that you install Covenant.

The developers from the team that brought us Exodus has now released Covenant which will pick up where the old addon left off.

Upon launching Covenant in Kodi you will find the following categories; Movies, TV Shows, My Movies, My TV Shows, New Movies, New Episodes, Channels, Tools, and Search.

The Movies category within Covenant has some nice filtering options such as Genres, Year, People, Languages, Certificates, People Watching, Most Popular, Most Voted, Box Office, Oscar Winners, In Theaters, New Movies, My Movies, People Search, and Search.

Within the TV Shows section, you will find many of the same as movies in addition to Airing Today, New TV Shows, New Episodes, TV Calendar, and My TV Shows.

When digging into the Movies and Television categories within Covenant, you will find the following Genres; Action, Adventure, Animation, Anime, Biography, Comedy, Crime, Documentary, Drama, Family, Fantasy, History, Horror, Music, Musical, Mystery, Romance, Science Fiction, Sport, Thriller, War, and Western.

Covenant supports Trakt TV integration which makes is a breeze to manage what we have watched or are planning on watching.  You can setup your Trakt TV account within Covenant by clicking Tools and then Accounts.

The popular unrestricted downloader, Real-Debrid also works great within Covenant and provides buffer-free viewing for movies and television shows.

Suggestion – I suggest that you get my free guide on how to Supercharge Kodi.  You will learn how to install the best Kodi addons, including Covenant and many more, with the click of a button.  By using my method within the guide, you won’t be required to install each addon one-by-one such as you do within this guide.

Question: Some shows’ seasons’ folders are denoted with italicized red letters and when clicked it says “no stream available”. Does this mean I need an update to mt Covenant?

  • H Benavente

I accidentally deleted my add one. Trying to get covenant back but it’s not working. After I get to the install from zip step, click the file, it’s empty. I’m not sure what to do next.

    • See Method #1 above to install Covenant on Kodi. This has been updated today and is now working properly.

  • Wesley

I have Covenant and all I’m getting is trailers no films. Can someone please help?

    • On some skins you can click a button that will play the trailer. Look around and make sure that you are clicking the play button for the actual movie itself.

      • Wesley

Hi Troy, I’m quite advanced at this and have tried everything I can find on the web to no avail its only started happening literally 5 days ago and now I can’t get any films or TVs shows. Many thanks for your kind reply

    • Michelle Jones

Hi did you fix this as I’m having the same problem?

      • Wesley

Michelle hi, no still not fixed and I see thousands are having the same problem and can’t find an answer anywhere

  • Diana Colclasure

I installed ares wizard, but when I try to install covenant it tells me that the normal download method failed, and if I want to try the alternative method. I click yes and then it says download error 404. Help

    • Jim Casy

If you haven’t subscribed to the supercharge guide you should do this. There are ways to get a build that has things like Covenant and Ares pre-installed….takes like 15 minutes to do if you’ve done it before. You won’t get spammed or anything by subscribing, just an email once in awhile when there is a new vid up or info about server being down, etc.

  • Lindsay Johnston

I can install Covenant, I went through the tutorials to turn off pairing and enable AutoPlay and nothing happens when I click on a movie to play. It goes through the motions like it is searching providers and all it seems to do is refresh the Most Popular movie options page

    • Hi Lindsay, keep in mind that if you are trying to find a newer movie, there might not be as many sources available so you might need to adjust the timeout and increase it. I usually don’t even mess with watching anything through Kodi unless already on Blu-ray as the quality is usually terrible if still in theaters.

  • Michael Sorrentino

I can’t install covenant. I get a dependency could not be verified mediagenic.

    • Kodi Home

google seach how to fix liveresolver fails…you will fixed the error dependency

  • Alison Bedell

Is covenant instead of pulse? From what I see ares is no longer available and I can’t use that method

    • Alison, the first guide above is working. Yes, Ares has been having problems installing Covenant on Kodi.

      • Alison Bedell

Thank you for the reply. I was finally able to get into the Ares wizard and install covenant. Is there a way to move it to the main screen and replace the elyssium icon under the movies and TV headings?

        • Whatever skin you are using, you should be able to go into Settings / Skin Settings / Menu, etc. You can change items within there.

  • Carly Keogh

I have downloaded everything and allowed add ins but when I go to install from zip file it saysits disabled but it clearly shows it is turned on??

  • Colin Johnston

I used ares to install Covenant but when I try to browse in the sections eg most popular nothing appears? Tried so many times, please help!!

    • Try restarting your device and router.

      • Colin Johnston

Neither make any difference? I’ve downloaded Krypton 17.4 to a fire stick but can’t load any addons no matter which source I use? Even tried some pre builds and none of them worked either? ANY idea how to solve?!

        • Jim Casy

Did you turn on “unknown sources” in KODI? Gear icon>System Settings>Add-ons>Unknown Sources Slider to the right>”yes” to the warning?

          • Colin Johnston

Yes I’ve done that. Followed all instructions perfectly but for some reason the data just doesn’t show???? I Going out of my mind! I have set loads of these up before with no problem. Could it be the firestick itself??

          • Jim Casy

Yeah, I mean if you’ve done it that many times before then you know the drill, so it could very well be. I’m looking at Covenant on 17.4 right now and it is OK here. Maybe try doing a factory wipe on the stick and start from scratch?

  • Davida De La Harpe

Thanks- it all worked… i love the idiot proof line by line explanation….excellent !

    • Thanks for comment Davida. Glad you got Covenant installed on Kodi.

  • PbxJedi

I’ve tried various links for Covenant and via this wizard, all options fail. It seems Covenant isn’t available.

    • Try again. It appears the repo is back in. Refer to method #1 above.

  • Mike

    Method 2 failed

    • Method 1 above is now working again.

      • Schmo Joe

This is insanity, neither are working, what do I do? It says no network when I try to add kodistuff and then I can’t install from zip file.

        • I just updated guide above as the other repo has been down today. See Guide #1, I just tested and it is working. Use this address now – http://kod1help.esy.es/kod1

  • Tristan Gonzalez

Both methods didn’t work for me!!

    • Method #1 is now working again.

  • moviefan

I have Kodi 17.3 and Titanium. I noticed Covenant is an option under Movies, but when I click on it; nothing happens. Although it shows there, do I still have to install it separately?

    • Maybe Covenant got deleted? Try installing again. It won’t hurt anything.

  • Richard

Method #1 for Covenant worked like a charm on Firestick! Thanks!

    • Thanks for comment, Richard! Usually only hear when things don’t work on these discussion boards.
